Jenny was born in Poole,
Dorset, in the South of England and has spent most of her life
in that beautiful county. Her first writing success came, when
aged 14, she won a National Essay Competition sponsored by a tea
company. The prize of £5 and a year's supply of tea-bags
wasn't enough to encourage her straight into a career as an author
and at 16 she was more interested in being the singer in a local
rock band. Luckily for rock-n-roll Jenny realised writing was
her real love and, after a few years, happily gave up the microphone
for the keyboard (computer not musical!)
By the early 1990’s Jenny’s short stories were being published in many UK magazines, and in 1994 her first horsey book sold to the Kenilworth Press, who later brought out three more of her titles. The Scandinavian publishing house Stabenfeldt commissioned another seventeen books between 2000 and 2012 and these were published in seven languages across the world.
THEN in 2013 a new and exciting offer came from Breakaway Books which you can read about in Jenny’s blog.
The experience on which Jenny's
books are based ranges from her work in a Stud Farm, Riding School
and with polo ponies, but most of all from her deep love of horses
and the joy of sharing her life with such amazing beings.
Jenny, who's very proud of her wonderful family, Donna, Rachael and Dylan lives happily on the edge of a Dorset
village with husband, Robin.
